Sycamore Legacy Consulting (SLC) is the management consulting and advisory arm of the Sycamore Legacy Family Office, a multi-generational Ohio-based enterprise with roots extending more than two centuries into American industry and commerce. While the family’s business history began in the early nineteenth century through investments in industry and infrastructure, the modern iteration of the family office was established by one of the founding members of Arthur Andersen Consulting. That foundation embedded a culture of disciplined governance, financial rigor, and long-term value creation; principles that continue to guide every company and initiative under the Sycamore banner. Today, the Family Office manages more than thirty businesses across advanced manufacturing, industrial services, infrastructure, and real estate, employing over 3,000 people worldwide. Its mission balances profitability with stewardship, defining enterprise as both an economic engine and a civic responsibility to strengthen communities and sustain opportunities for future generations.

In 2021, the family launched Fiber Capital Partners (FCP) to lead its broadband and telecommunications initiatives. Acting as the investment banking and strategic arm of the family’s telecom platform, FCP has overseen strategic planning, capital formation, fundraising, grant writing, M&A, and regulatory negotiations, raising over $100 million in private investment and securing more than $30 million in public grants. In short, FCP created the blueprint for how the family could apply disciplined capital structuring and consulting expertise to solve complex public and private sector challenges.

In 2024, following the success of FCP, the family office identified the opportunity to expand its consulting platform into a broader, more comprehensive advisory practice. FCP’s executive team, already proven as leaders in strategy, capital formation, and deployment, was positioned to serve as the cornerstone of this new venture. To build upon that foundation, the family office recruited additional senior executives with deep expertise in accounting, legal, and marketing, creating a multidisciplinary leadership team capable of addressing a wide spectrum of client needs. The result was the launch of Sycamore Legacy Consulting, a fully integrated consulting firm designed to deliver institutional grade advisory services both within and beyond the family office.

SLC’s mandate is to serve two distinct but complementary roles. First, it provides strategic and operational support to the family office’s diverse portfolio of more than thirty operating companies. Second, it extends those same capabilities outward to serve governments, non-profit organizations, and private businesses, bringing to external partners the same caliber of insight and execution that has sustained the family enterprise for generations. Since its inception, SLC has become a trusted partner across each of its core constituencies. SLC specializes in strategic planning, capital fundraising, investment banking, grant writing, auditing, research, and the full spectrum of marketing, branding, and communications. In each engagement, SLC applies the same enduring values that have defined the family office for more than two centuries: stewardship, accountability, and long-term value creation.

The launch of SLC represented a natural evolution of the family office’s philosophy: taking proven in-house expertise and extending it outward as a professionalized platform. In doing so, the family created a firm that blends the scale and resources of a large family office with the flexibility and responsiveness of a boutique consultancy.
